Demo 1: A three axis satellite with a flexible solar paddle.
A satellite is modeled that mounts 3-axis reaction wheels and
a flexible solar paddle. The solar paddle is modeled with
three discrete rigid links connected by elastic hinges.
Each hinge corresponds to the first mode in twist, swing and bend
degrees of freedom.
The model is shown in fig.1 .
The program source code is included in the Spacedayn-v1
source files as "test.m."
The program simulates an attitude slewing maneuver by
using the reaction wheels. The attitude response is shown in
fig.2 .
During the attitude maneuver, the vibrations of the flexible
solar paddle is excited, then damped out as shown in
fig.3 .
